Puppy play dates

An hour on the floor
with puppies.

No mats, no class, no instructions. You sit down in the pen and the puppies come to you. Small groups, all ages, one hour — the simplest thing we do and the one people rebook the most.

How a play date runs

One hour,
three parts

01

Hands, then hello

Sanitise, shoes off, sit down inside the pen. We introduce each puppy by name and show the little ones how to hold one properly.

02

Forty minutes of puppies

Free play. Hold them, brush them, roll a ball, or lie down and let them climb on you. A handler stays in the pen the whole time.

03

Photos, then nap

The last ten minutes are for pictures while the puppies wind down. We send you the ones we take, free, within a couple of days.

Play dates run in small groups so every person gets real puppy time. Tell us which slot you want and we hold it while we confirm by text — usually within a few hours.

Come sit
with them

Pick a slot, tell us who is coming, and we text you back to confirm. Groups are kept small on purpose, so slots go quickly on weekends.

Got it — we are holding that slot.

You will get a text to confirm, usually within a few hours. If your date is this week, call the studio at (818) 237-6975 and we will sort it live.

No payment now — we confirm first, you pay on the day.

Play date questions

How is this different from puppy yoga?
There is no class. No mat, no instructor, no flow. A play date is just an hour in the pen with the puppies — better for small children, grandparents, anyone who would rather sit than stretch. If you want the movement too, book puppy yoga instead.
Is there an age limit?
No lower limit, but anyone under twelve stays with an adult in the pen, and toddlers sit rather than carry. We show every child how to hold a puppy before they pick one up.
What if someone in the family is allergic?
Every puppy here is a Doodle — low-shedding and allergy-friendly, which is the reason families with allergies come to us at all. It is not a medical guarantee, so bring what you normally would, but most guests are fine.
Can we book the pen privately?
Yes. Private play dates run any weekday for one family or a small group. Pick "a private play date instead" in the form and tell us the day you want. For anything bigger or with a cake involved, see puppy parties.
